Gorlin Syndrome Featured on Colorescience’s Know Better Skin podcast

Gorlin syndrome is in the spotlight on Colorescience’s Know Better Skin podcast in the episode, “Rare Skin Conditions: Resilience and Representation through Storytelling.”

The episode features Dr. Andrea Rustad, a dermatology resident, future pediatric dermatologist, and children’s book author; Meredith Weiss, Executive Director of the Gorlin Syndrome Alliance, and her daughter Vivian, who has Gorlin syndrome.

Dr. Rustad is the creator of the Skinvincible children’s book series, which helps children with rare skin conditions feel seen, understood, and empowered. Her first published book focuses on ichthyosis, and her upcoming book is, The Gorlin Guardian.

Together, Dr. Rustad, Meredith, and Vivian discuss Gorlin syndrome, advocacy, lived experience, and the importance of education and representation in building empathy and understanding.

We’re grateful to Dr. Rustad for bringing this wonderful book to life for our children, and to Alisha Merlo and Colorescience for elevating visibility and awareness of Gorlin syndrome
