Our “Why”

In December 2020, Nolan Hodge was diagnosed with Gorlin syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that can affect every organ system in the body. People with Gorlin syndrome are at increased risk for basal cell carcinoma (BCC) skin cancers, tumors, and other serious health complications. There is currently no cure and no FDA-approved treatments for Gorlin syndrome.

The mission of the Gorlin Syndrome Alliance is to thoughtfully support, comprehensively educate, and aggressively seek the best treatments and a cure for those affected by Gorlin syndrome.

A year ago, we learned Nolan has a second diagnosis, further complicating his course of treatment moving forward. This is our WHY.
