Sol-Gel Study Update

Written by Gorlin Syndrome Alliance | Aug 31, 2026, 6:10:11 PM

Sol Gel Technologies recently shared several updates relevant to the Gorlin syndrome community. Its Phase 3 clinical trial of SGT 610, a topical patidegib gel being studied to prevent new basal cell carcinomas, continues to move forward. The final patient visit is expected in September, with initial results anticipated in late November 2026. We are deeply grateful to the 113 participants whose commitment has helped bring this research to this point.

Sol Gel is also exploring an injectable treatment for odontogenic keratocysts, or OKCs. These recurring jaw cysts can require repeated surgeries and cause lasting damage. GSA leadership welcomed the company’s interest in addressing this significant unmet need within our community.

These treatments remain investigational, and more research is needed. The GSA will continue to follow their progress, share reliable updates and advocate for research that reflects the full experience of living with Gorlin syndrome. Read the full announcement.
